haunting score performed live by composer Steve Blake and his band, Victims

BOO'S BOYS Get ready for some classic pub Blues from this established local outfit. There have been a few changes to the line-up over the last year bringing a sax and new guitarist in to augment the unforgettable voice of Boo himself. GRIFFIN INN 8pm. As consummately skilled musicians, Iain and Stian understand and respect the music with which they play fond, delicate, and witty games, sharing a musical curiosity about how to bend and re-present tunes from Kurt Weill’s Surabaya Johnny to bebop jazz standards like Autumn Leaves, (and their own compositions). Ray McVay leads the official Glenn Miller Orchestra
featuring star musicians who have worked with the Orchestras of Benny Goodman,
Nelson Riddle and Frank Sinatra. Performing the original arrangements of
classic wartime chart toppers including ‘In the Mood’ and ‘Moonlight
Serenade’ with
music by Gershwin and Louis Armstrong complementing all the old Glenn Miller
favourites, audiences of all ages will thrill to the sound of the Big Band.

A fabulous funky mix of Cuban
Mambo, Reggae and African beats. Live and direct from Senegal, and back by
popular demand. ‘Jelitara Futa’ means ‘it’s
time to wake up’ and in literal terms this means get up and dance!
Laye Sow, Jelitara Futa’s lead singer, will also be warming up the
evening with his acoustic set. His songs address the aspirations and difficulties
of the African people as well as political and religious issues.
African food available in the Undercroft from 6pm.
