Jump, whirl, shake, rattle and roll on a musical journey with Annabelle Macfadyen and Joanna Harvey. Explore different ways to move to the music, join in with action songs and fun games and be part of a percussion band. For pre-school children and their parents.

7.15pm Apocalypse Now Redux (1982, 15) & live music

Full surround-sound screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s extended Vietnam magnum opus based on Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. Starring Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen and Robert Duvall, the film is exhilarating, uncomfortable and dazzling, from the infamous Wagner helicopter attack to ‘the horror’ of Colonel Kurtz. Local bands will perform live acoustic sets before the film.

The Fitzhardinge Singers make their Festival debut in Vivaldi’s Gloria and Lotti’s Crucifixus, accompanied by the authentic instruments of Bradford Baroque Band conducted by Jason Thornton. Alison Townley adds her expertise as one of Britain’s finest period instrument violinists in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

The Dr. Stomp trio brings Appalachian ‘Old-Timey’ flat foot dancing, rootsy pining vocals, and banjo pyrotechnics to the evening. Their zany act needs to be seen to be believed.
