Now in its sixth year, the Frome Festival Summer School Chorus once again joins forces with Somerset Youth Orchestra for what promises to be another monumental performance. The Musical World of Giacomo Casanova19:30

Timothy West & Sophie YatesTimothy West & Sophie Yates

The reputation of Casanova was immortalised in his own 12 volumes of spicy memoirs.

These also reveal him to be a far more complex character than legend would suggest: soldier, priest, gambler, alchemist and violinist. He also knew many of late 18th-century Europe's most influential people, including its finest composers.

Actor Timothy West's readings from the memoirs are complemented with music by Vivaldi, Couperin, Rameau & Handel.
