A brief introduction to hand-decorating pottery. Using tile blanks and ceramic underglaze colours Steven Jenkins will demonstrate and teach basic brushstroke techniques that can be used to create lettering, decorative patterns or repeat motifs. No experience or skill necessary, just enthusiasm.

Walk & Talk Frome Tunnels18:00

Popular folklore holds that much of Frome is riven with tunnels. The Frome Tunnel group is on the case. The tour visits our work and will hear some of the historical detail. You won't be underground long, but there are some awkward spaces and lots of mud; information on dress and what to bring will be included with your ticket (See also Wednesday 9, event no. 907 and Saturday 12, event no. 1202)

Frome was a vibrant weaving town in the 17th century, and thanks to the exceptional trade links of nearby Bristol, local merchants enjoyed an astonishingly varied diet. This fascinating Food Frome film explores the local ingredients, recipes and culinary techniques of the time, culminating in the recreation of a 17th-Century feast (samples of which can be tasted here).

Bath Community Gospel ChoirAn evening of foot-stomping gospel with the Bath Community Gospel Choir. This all-access adult choir will perform a mixture of spirituals, traditional gospel songs, R&B, funky and pop gospel; and of course there's all the swaying and clapping into the bargain! The choir has performed locally including at Bath Charity Showcase at The Forum in Bath this May, at Westonbirt Arboretum and with Bazil Meade, Director of the London Community Gospel Choir.
