Frome Festival offers strictly limited-edition fine art prints of the original design for this year’s brochure cover and poster. The reduced image overleaf gives an idea of the portrait of the Duke of Monmouth, but we will be showing the prints themselves before, and during selected events in, this year’s Festival (6-15 July). If you would like to inspect one now, however, please contact Bob Morris on 01373 464487.
The edition is guaranteed limited to 20, and each numbered print is professionally reproduced by the giclée process using archival quality inks on museum-grade cotton rag paper. Each print is signed, numbered and titled Frome Festival 2012 by the artist Sholto Walker, and is accompanied by a Fine Art Trade Guild Certificate of Authenticity. The image size is just under 14½ x 11 inches and the print is mounted in conservation quality ivory-tone card behind clear glass in a plain black frame, overall size 20¾ x 17½ inches approximately. The frame is shrink-wrapped, with plastic corner guards.
Frome-based international artist and illustrator Sholto Walker has designed ten of the annual Festival brochure covers and posters, the most recent previous ones being Sir Benjamin Baker’s Forth Bridge (2009), the Frome Cat (2010) and Christina Rossetti (2011). As well as his work for the Frome Festival, Sholto’s illustrations regularly appear in children’s books and publications around the world.
