The Frome Festival now in its 12th year has become a major local attraction, putting two weeks of July well and truly on the Frome calendar. So much so, it would almost be impossible to imagine Frome without the Festival. Not only does it provide an eclectic mix of events for everyone to enjoy but just as importantly provides a platform for local talent, issues and charities looking to make their mark.
A community festival and registered charity depends largely on local sponsors and a team of loyal volunteers, the Frome Festival like many other community based organisations in this climate has felt the pinch. So in true Festival style the Frome Festival board is hosting a fundraising event at the Mill at Rode on Thursday 17th May, auctioning an array of quirky and sought-after prizes including an Olympic torch champagne viewing at the perfectly located festival office, a helicopter ride and a bizarre but fun toilet bowl, signed by a variety of famous musicians who have performed at the Cheese and Grain. The fundraising auction takes place on Thursday 17th May at 7.30pm at the Mill at Rode. Tickets cost £16.00 which includes a two course meal and musical entertainment. Tickets are available at the Cheese and Grain Box Office: 01373 455 420 | cheeseandgraintickets@hotmail.com
Catalogue flyers will be available at the Cheese and Grain, The Mill and other venues around Frome. You can also download one by clicking on the image above. (Opens as a pdf in a new page.)
Please dig deep and keep your festival alive and kicking.
