Keep your eye out for Frome’s very own ‘Poetrix Extraordinaire’ Muriel Lavender who will be around the Cheap St area on the first Saturday of the festival, an exotic creature in fancy clothes hawking her literary wares also Pageturners will be hosting ‘Hilarious Book’ events in the library for children age 8-12 and ‘Revolutionary Reading’ for the 12+ age group.

Peter Lovesey and Maria McCann announce the Short Story Competition prize winners, and there are opportunities to brush up your editing and performance poetry skills in our workshops. Once again we are pleased to welcome famous local and London literary agents who offer 1:1 appraisals on writing for children or adults. Speakers and local authors’ books will be on sale and authors will be present to sign copies for you as you enjoy refreshments from our food stall. Listen to Grimms for Grown-ups at the Black Swan Round Tower, then make your way to the Cornerhouse for 7.30pm for ‘Words’ Book Lovers Quiz a grand finale to literary Sunday.
Watch writing come alive at the Script Writer’s pub theatre at the Cornerhouse on Friday 13th or listen to Storytellers Baba Yaga’s Oven, and Grimm Tales for children on Saturday.
